The End to the Hiatus and a Truly Inspiring Video

I want to thank everyone again for all the support, the hugs, the well wishes. This past weekend was rough for my family, but life moves on and we’re moving with it. It’s the only thing I like about sharks – the fact that they have to keep moving forward or die. It’s a good way of looking at the world because it’s going to keep on rolling, and either you roll with it or it flattens you pancake-style.

Which all sounds rather discouraging, but in actuality, things are better.

I’m tired, though, and have lost a little of my oomph. I’ve been wanting desperately to write because of the great swells of feeling and then finding myself exhausted simply looking at the page. Not scared or intimidated – just wrung out. I’ve been needing some extra inspiration, which is why I’m so very glad I found this video on TED Talks:

She moved me quite to tears in the middle of a work day, but I don’t mind. Watch it. It’s a drink of water. It’s chocolate on a bad day.

Starting tomorrow evening, I will be gone on a weekend vacation and totally out of contact. No cell, no internet. I’ll be back to regular blogging topics next week – maybe not #writemotivation goals so much but I have some other things I want to talk about.

In the meanwhile, everyone get out there and tell some beautiful stories.

It seems as though quite a few of us are dealing with some unwanted and uncontrollable negativity in our lives. This video couldn’t come at a better time. I will now go quietly cry in my cube…. πŸ˜›
